Gabriel recently founded the Southeast Asian Strings Community with his esteemed colleagues from the region, as an initiative to share knowledge and teaching practices for string instruments, and to build more friendships with teachers and learners from neighbouring countries. Learning resources are organized into learning units in the group, and regular Facebook Live sessions discussing various string pedagogical topics take place in this group.

Gabriel was commissioned by the ABRSM to produce and film a series of four videos on teaching music online, as an effort to share knowledge with fellow teachers and students on best online teaching/learning practices during this pandemic.

Gabriel served as an adjudicator for the Alessandro Giuliani Violin Competition held on 31 August 2019 in Singapore, and the 7th Asia Arts Festival held on 27 July 2019 in Singapore.
Gabriel was recently on the jury for the 6th Asia Arts Festival.
The Straits Times reviewed Gabriel’s Evolution Violin Recital and was published on 2nd April 2018.
Gabriel was recently awarded the Paul Abishegenaden Grant for Artistic Excellence 2018.
